I'll do a quote of Nalini Singh's from the first book in her Phy/Changling series Slave to Sensation.
Nalini is one of those authors that can take you into a futuristic and unimaginable world. She can make you totally believe that people can change into Leopards and that people have psychic powers. When you're reading her books, the concept doesn't seem that far-fetched. It feels like these people are part of your family and you will protect a special spot for them in your heart. Her first book sets the scene for her futuristic world. There are three species that live on the planet. Each very different in their own abilities. Humans that populate most of the earth. Phy, who have psychic abilities and have suppressed all emotion. And changelings who can shift into an animal. This story is about one Phy who realizes she is different from those of her own race. She comes face-to-face with an alpha panther. Who makes her face her real self and captures her heart. Her name is Sasha and his is Lucas. Beware, if you read this book you and fall in love with both.
